How to Print From Your Mac and Troubleshoot Issues

Printing from a personal macOS computer

  1. Download the Mobility Print software from Papercut.
  2. After installing Mobility Print application on your personal device, the first time that you attempt to print to any AAC printer, you will see a prompt like this:
  3. The name it is looking for is your AAC email prefix. This follows one of the following patterns:
    • first-name.last-name
      • Charley Harper (e.g. charley.harper)
      • Charley Harper-Smith (e.g. charley.harper-smith - this is for hyphenated last names)

    • preferred-name.last-name
      • Charley Harper [nickname or preferred name = Chuck] (e.g. chuck.harper)
    • first-initial.last-name.last-name
      • Charley Harper Smith (e.g. c.harper-smith)

  4. The password should be your AAC email password

Workaround

If you are getting the Hold for Authentication error, most likely an incorrect username was entered in the "Name" field above.

To resolve take the following steps:

  1. Open the Keychain Access application

  2. Search for the name of the printer that is giving the error
    • e.g. S362ColorPrinter
    • Open the record and edit the "Account" field to reflect your AAC email prefix (see above for guide)

  3. After the change was made select "Save Changes"
